MARY'S HOUSE

A national treasure, the home where Mary, the mother of Jesus, is said to have come with St. John and lived out her final years.

The house is now a small chapel, with an outdoor theater area where a service is held every Sunday morning and on August 15, Assumption of the Virgin
You can light a candle,

Be blessed by the "holy" water in the fountain,

Leave a prayer on the wall.
Making sure the park remains safe.
Mary's house is nestled in the forest, high atop a hill, overlooking the Aegean Sea on one side.  Her grave is said to be nearby, but has not been located to date.  The view on the drive down, despite the haze,  was awe inspiring with views of the sea, orchards that looked like a patchwork quilt, Ayasoluk Hill and a statue to The Virgin Mary.
